Vacuum technology offers a safe solution.<\/p>\n<p>Years ago in 2003 Stent already saw the possibilities and advantages of vacuum handling in the foundation industry. Spreader beams and chains suspended from a gantry crane had been successfully employed in the process for years. But the problem for Stent lay not in the task of lifting the beams. It was the risk of life and limb in working at height to secure the chains. A busier stockyard resulted in a larger stack of piles and more working at height. A situation the company felt compelled to address.
