Two Aerolift vacuum lifting devices arrived at a customer in China at the beginning of this week. The customer produces tunnel segments. Our vacuum lifting devices will be used to demould and lift the tunnel segments.
The suction pads were designed and built in the Netherlands. Our associate ‘SandaLink’ in Baoding China assembled the vacuum lifting devices according to Aerolift’s design.
Vacuum handling offers several extra advantages for the concrete industry. Next to very fast and safe, it is possible to demould concrete without embeds. This means no disfiguration of the product and no need for investment in embeds. Besides, due to the divided surface pressure of the suction pads it is possible to demould after 8 till 10 hours. If you would demould using embeds the curing time needs to be at least 24 hours.
