The wall panels can have door openings and/or window frames that must be considered in the design.
The solutions consisted of two vacuum lifters. Both able to lift 27 metric tons (60,000Lbs), but both for its own purpose. One vacuum lifter demoulds and lifts the wall elements in combination with an overhead crane. Due to the unique features of vacuum lifting the wall panels can be demoulded with limited internal strength. Demoulding is possible after only 8 to 10 hours of hardening time. The other vacuum lifter operates in combination with a gantry crane for storage and transhipment.
