From production facility to an outside storage area of precast concrete piles. The project started with demoulding and lifting at the production facility. Long piles up to 32 meters needed to be demoulded, lifted, and put on a truck. Due to the unique features of vacuum handling the required hardening time before demoulding is halved. Moreover, the vacuum lifters are able to demould and lift three piles at once. Increasing production speed and capacity.

Besides the production facility this Dutch customer also has a large outdoor storage area. At the storage area the concrete piles where still lifted by chains. Attaching the chains was done manually with the potential risk to life and limb. Especially when the storage area is fully stocked, and the piles are stacked high. For this reason, the customer decided to do every part of the handling process by the aid of Aerolift vacuum lifters.

Lifting solution for the outdoor storage area

At the storage area precast concrete piles of a wide range of lengths and outlines are handled. The complete lifting solution consists of four vacuum lifters, of which three various. Two vacuum lifters are identical and able to lift most of the piles present on the storage area. We designed a shorter vacuum lifter to handle the smallest concrete piles and a bigger vacuum lifter for the biggest concrete piles on the yard. All lifters are able to handle 4 piles at ones.
